“Being a first time mom is not easy everything scares you, and you always have 101 questions about everything. From the very first visit that I had with my midwife Aiyana Davison I completely fell in love with her and I wanted all my appointments with her. She made me feel at peace and that everything was on the right on track, Even when things weren’t so good she still always made sure I wasn’t stressed and that everything would be okay. She was amazing especially in the middle of a pandemic, when doctor visits were so restricted and most of my appointments were over the phone, she always answered every question was never hesitant. Nor did I ever feel rushed. She helped me deliver my healthy baby boy. I recommend Aiyana Davison to every pregnant woman I meet, because she’s amazing words don’t do her justice.”

“Aiyana Davison is an engaging, passionate, educated speaker. The participants Who engage in her presentations and panels are astounded, motivated, and deeply moved to create change in their little corners of the world. All those who encounter her fiery determination to make the world a better place for black birthing families cannot help but want to do the same after hearing her speak. Aiyana deeply cares about the issues she teaches about. She has externally professional and amicable interactions with not only the participants but organizers and coordinators of the programs and presentations she gives.”

“Words cannot even start to explain how much my family appreciates and wholeheartedly loves Aiyana Davison. We would recommend Aiyana to anyone thinking about becoming pregnant to anyone who is already pregnant. What sticks out in my mind is how Aiyana truly cares for her patients and her job. This trait is very rare to come by these days with the overpopulation of the medical industry. Aiyana came back after her shift to deliver our baby girl and if that doesn’t show passion and drive, I don’t know what does.”

“Aiyana is an informed educator, culturally competent teacher and a compassionate provider. As a birth doula I have learned from Aiyana’s workshops how to better serve my clients and gained critical tools for birthwork. She models effortlessly how to serve clients and their families with informed and compassionate care.”

“There’s no words that express the care provided by Midwife Davison. Aiyana really cares about her patients. She is very very knowledgeable & will find the answer from knowledgeable colleagues if she doesn’t have it or it’s beyond her scope of practice(which is rare).Being a midwife is something she loves to do, it’s more than just a job in my opinion. My care with her is more personal, I feel comfortable expressing any concerns or worries with her knowing the appropriate steps will be taken to get a solution. I have 3 children so I’ve had contact with quite a few doctors, nurses, midwifes etc. ,but when I tell you I refuse to see anyone else because I’m skeptical they won’t meet the standard Aiyana has placed I really mean that.Going above & beyond to make sure I’m getting the appropriate care means a lot to me and I can’t thank you enough..”

Aiyana, AKA thevaginachronicles, is one of THE best black midwives that I know! Not only because of her compassion for birth and reproductive rights, but she also takes the time to help new black midwives like myself. She took the time to video chat with me after working a long shift when I struggled as a student and needed some guidance. She has mentored me, uplifted me, and supported me in so many ways. I will be eternally grateful for that experience and hold onto it throughout my entire midwifery journey.
